Okay there are actually 13 posts today. And I managed to arrange them in order. We had a great time at Dianna's for Halloween. It was great to have so many of our children there together. I've included a picture or movie in each post. Enjoy!!!

Joseph

Joseph is our musician. As I mentioned a few days back he plays trumpet in his school band. But he is even better at the piano. While in New Jersey I heard him playing the song "Beautiful Savior" so I began singing along with him. It sounded so good that his dad arranged for the two of us to do the song the next Sunday at church. I had a great time with him. The video for this post is him playing the song. While there he also had me start him on the guitar. He's a very talented young man. 10 yrs. old! The pictures show him turning the end of a spoke for a wagon wheel and playing pickup sticks.

James

I always enjoy watching James as he gets into an activity. He becomes so enthralled with it. At Milbrook it was checkers. He played with his mother, and the fellow who taught fire starting. He would have played several more times if we had let him. In the first picture he is playing shuttlecock. If you look close at the photo you can see the white shuttlecock just passing over the "net". He also had a great time with the treadle lathe which can be seen in the video.

Ethan

Ethan is our mischievous grandchild. But he is so much fun. He has an infectious laugh that makes it so you just can't help but laugh right along with him. He enjoyed our trip to Milbrook. He found a caterpillar that kept him entertained for half the trip.

New Jersey Trip

Sarah and I went to New Jersey for a week. We had a great time with Ruth and her family. We did so many things I can't put them all in this one post. One of the first things we did was to attend the Memorial Day parade in Dumont, NJ. Joseph played with his school band but I didn't get any good video of that. The kids played whiffle ball and other games. I showed them how to make marshmallow shooters with PVC pipe. They thought that was great. Keep watching this week and I post more.

March Madness

March is a crazy month for us. We have five birthdays in a six day time frame. Last weekend Sarah and I drove to Logan to celebrate three of the birthdays together. The pictures posted here show Sarah or I interacting with grandchildren. At the party Aaron let me hold him for the first time.

I think it had more to do with my mustache. After he'd run his fingers through it and tugged at it a bit he'd had enough and wanted down.

Sarah had some fun time with Claire while celebrating her birthday.

One night recently Evinn was climbing the stairs. She wanted me to hold her so we took a rest half way up.

Harlem Globetrotters

A few weeks ago I was getting dressed for work when I heard Sarah say, "Oh darn!" I asked what the problem was. She had been trying to dial a TV station to win tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters. Obviously she hadn't won. I was surprised that she was even interested. I've lived with her nearly 39 years and didn't know this was something she really wanted to do. So I got online and got a couple of tickets for the event.

We went out for a date last night and had a blast! After the game Sarah got her jersey signed by "Big Easy" who is now the team clown. He plays the role that Meadowlark Lemon played for so many years when I was a kid.

Walking With the Dinosaurs

Okay, I'm a few weeks late getting this one posted. In mid January I took three of my grandsons to Salt Lake City to see the production of Walking With the Dinosaurs. We had lots of fun although the boys weren't quite the brave dinosaurs hunters they claimed to be. I had trouble getting good pics in the arena but the one I'm posting shows the relative size between the man in the upper left and the stegasaurus. There were some dinosaurs that were 35 ft. high. What an experience. I'm sure the boys will remember it for quite some time. I know I will!

Christmas Vacation

We had a great time over the Christmas holidays. We spent Christmas with Sally and her family in Logan. I took my camera with us but only managed to snap one photo of Kevin enjoying his presents.

After a day or two of rest we traveled to Oregon to be with Janet and her family. We had a great time. Levi was baptized while we were there. I managed to snap a great shot of 4 generations of Tse njikinii clan members. The Navajo people are matrilineal so it was great to have a shot of them together.

Grandma Salabiye wanted a photo with Janet's family just as we were leaving so I shot one for her.

Ron receiving Tech Savvy Supt. Award

We're Finally on the Web!

Okay, I'm learning a lot trying to get this up and running. I may have to call some of my kids to learn how to do things the right way. Just be happy that I'm getting it done.

In February Ron was recognized as one of ten superintendents nationally to receive the Tech Savvy Superintendent Award. We traveled to Tampa, Florida for the event.

On the way to the award presentation Sarah and I decided to walk part of the way. We walked by a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the town square.

That evening I had a surprise for Sarah. Since we were in the air on Valentine's Day I took her on a dinner cruise the next night. One of the pictures shows the two of us on the boat.
